Sound Step is a recycled rubber membrane developed as a multi-purpose solution for a variety of demanding floors including: Family Housing, High-Rises, Single-Family homes and commercial buildings.
Being perfect for both soft or hard flooring, it can be used with hardwood, Engineered, laminate, tile, stone, carpet, marble, etc. Sound Step has a higher sound quality than any cork product on the market, and it's easier to install as well! With it's moisture barrier and crack membrane all in one, you're assured that it's 100% water proof; and it even comes with a 5 year moisture warranty. It also will not mold, mildew or deteriorate. Sound Step has an IIC / STC rating of 71, and absorbs more sound than 1/4" cork. It can be installed over any subfloor including concrete, gypsum and wood (Float solid & Engineered).
